Trade unions and professional bodies of lawyers, doctors or teachers etc. are sectional interest groups.

NOTE – Sectional interest groups seek to promote the interests of a particular section of the society. Since they represent a certain section of the society, their major concern is the betterment of their members and not the entire society in general.
