Four merits of air transport are-

1. The air transport is the fastest mode of transport.

4. It provides transport services to offshore oil and gas exploration activities.

Demerits of air transport are-

1. It is a very costly mode of transport, and hence not accessible to the common people.

2. It is only possible if places have helipads and airports.
