Q7 of 30 Page 7

Evaluate (i) 8! (ii) 4! – 3!

(i) 8!

= 8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1

= 40320

(ii) 4! – 3!

4! = 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24

3! = 3 x 2 x 1 = 6

Therefore, 4! – 3! = 24 – 6 = 18.
