Should schools promote coaching institutes? Taking a cue from the points given below and using your own ideas, write a debate speech for or against the topic in about 150-200 words.

Despite CBSE’s ban, coaching centers running classes in schools Teachers from coaching institutes teach subjects like physics, chemistry, and Mathematics, English and Physical Education continue to be taught by the school faculty.

Classes in separate sections from 8 am to 12 pm for the CBSE and competitive examinations.

‘Are celebrities responsible for the products they endorse?’ Yes, I firmly believe they are.

In our country, India, celebrities and public figures are no mortals but resemble demi god status. What they say and how they behave is imprisoned in the hearts of the common man. Celebrities are known to endorse products related to skin, food and beverage and garments. The general public believes that these celebrities personally use these products and entrust their vulnerable faith directly on the product and its endorser.

Keeping this in mind, the endorsers or celebrities need to exercise some restraint and thinking before adding value to any campaign. They should not get carried away by the insane amount they are paid forgetting their role in capturing the public’s confidence and faith. The US Federal Trade Commission lays down guidelines which enable the celebrity to choose the product to endorse only after being convinced about its utility, safety and quality standards. A thorough background check related to the product, it's manufacturing, and company is important.

It can be concluded by saying that the unpleasant legal ordeal experienced by celebrities when a product is banned can be avoided. Celebrities need to understand the public’s sentiments before signing any commercial.

‘Should schools promote coaching institutes?’ No, I firmly believe they should not. The great Malcolm X had rightly said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” Such great words have little or no meaning in today’s money hungry competitive world. School-based education is not relied upon and good quality education is sacrificed. Mushrooming coaching institutes have become a substitute for school education. Wholesome, gradual and all-round education is being challenged by coaching institutes.

Though CBSE has laid down strict guidelines that prohibit coaching institutes from existing, the craze to score highest percentages is a driving force behind existing coaching institutes. Students and their guardians have become so career oriented, high percentage crazy that school based methodical learning is neglected. The rush to complete the syllabus is so much important, that school education is considered unimportant.

The CBSE should adopt stricter guidelines and surprise raids and visits by the authorities should be done. Schools should discourage coaching institute learning and help counsel students and guardians.
