Describe how Antony proves his loyalty to Julius Caesar by bringing the conspirators to justice.
Antony loved Caesar and had always stayed loyal to him. He had respected Caesar to be worthy to become the ruler of Rome and sees him as the noblest man of all. However as Caesar is murdered, Antony is filled with anger and wishes to avenge Caesar’s death. Antony devotes his own life in order to punish the murderers of Caesar. Antony fights for Caesar ever after he had been killed, risking his own life, as he believed that the death of Caesar wasn’t necessary by any means. Brutus’s speech explaining Caesar’s ambition had the commoners of Rome turn against him. But since Brutus had not explained why Caesar was ambitions, Antony was Brutus’s flow in order to turn the crowd against the conspirators. During Caesar’s funeral Antony total the huge crowd that men’s evil deeds survive even after their death while their good deeds are buried with them. This, he said, is the case of Caesar. Antony listed all the good acts of Caesar from bringing huge ransoms, for the state coffers in exchange of royal captives and his heart could never bear the sufferings of the poor. This moved the crowd. Hence, Antony very shrewdly turned the table on the conspirators through his emotional funeral speech.
