The linguistic recognition of States has helped India in many ways –

•The states based on languages might have resulted in subdivision of India.

•The linguistic recognition of States has helped in strengthening the unity of India.

•Even now there are disputes on states based on languages but it could have been worse if the linguistic recognition of states were not there.

•It is because of the linguistic recognition that we have got “one Nation several languages” otherwise we would be having “one language 14 or 15 Nations”.
