Find the length of the diagonal of a square with side 8 cm.


In ∆ABC, AB = 8cm, BC = 8cm ∠B = 90°


By Pythagoras theorem


AC2 = AB2 + BC2


= (8)2 + (8)2


= 64 + 64


= 128


Hence, AC2 = 128
