(a) Praja Mandals were people’s organisation that worked in the interest of the people in the princely states and working towards their political rights. In 1927, these Praja Mandals came together to form the all India states’ people’s conference.


(b) The Hydrabad State Congress passed a resolution by which it provided for the merger of the Hydrabad state with India. However, this enraged the Nizam who started preparation to get Hyderabad merged with Pakistan. After Indian government’s patient negotiations failed, the Indian government invaded Hyderabad and annexed it.


(c) Marathwada Muktidina is celebrated on the 17th September in Marathwada to commemorate the sacrifices and struggles of all those who led the struggle for the freedom and liberation of Hyderabad.
