Given, volume of cylinder = 308 cm3

Height = 8cm


Volume of the cylinder = πr2h


308 = 3.14 × r2 × 8

lateral surface area = 2πrh


= 2 × 3.14 × 3.5 × 8


= 175.9≃ 176cm2


Total surface area = 2πr(r + h)


= 2 × π × 3.5 × (3.5 + 8)


= 252.89 ≃ 253cm2
