A force of 50 N acts on a body and moves it a distance of 4 m on a horizontal surface. Calculate the work done if the direction of force is at an angle 60o to the horizontal surface.

Given,

Force, F = 50N,


Displacement, s = 4m,


Θ = 600


Work done = FS Cos θ


= 50 × 4 × Cos 60°


= 100 J [As Cos 60° = 1/2]
