If 55% of students in a school are girls and the number of boys is 270, find the number of girls in the school.

Given: %age of girls in the school = 55%


Number of boys in the school = 270


⇒ 45% of students in the school are boys.


Let total students be x


According to the question,


45% of x = 270



⇒ x = 600


Number of girls = 600 – 270 = 330
