Answer the following.
Explain the interactions among the factors of an ecosystem.
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms together with the non-living components of the environment like air, water and mineral soil, interacting with each other.
There are two major factors of an ecosystem, biotic factors and abiotic factors. The biotic factors includes all the living organisms like plants and animals whereas abiotic factors include non-living, physical as well as chemical things like air, water, soil and minerals.
Each and every abiotic factor like air, water, soil influences biotic factors in some way or the other. The abiotic factors decide what type of organisms will live in a particular area.
• There are many organisms which can survive only in damp conditions whereas there might be organisms which can survive only at high temperature.
• Some animals live in water bodies whereas some live under soil.
• Some microbes need oxygen while others don't.
The same way, every biotic factor influence abiotic factors also.
