Q13 of 22 Page 258

The diameter of a garden roller is 1.4m and it is 2m long. how much area will it cover in 5 revolutions?

Given; radius of cylindrical roller = 0.7 m

Height of roller = 2m

no. of revolutions(n) = 5

So, area covered = no. of revolutions × curved surface area

= n × 2πrh

=

= 22 × 2 = 44 m2
