Supposed 60% of the students in a college are girls if the number of boys is 2448, find the number of students in the college.

Let x be the total number of students in school


% of girls = 60 %


% of boys = 40%


Since the number of boys is 2448


⇒ 40% of x = 2448


⇒ 0.40 × x = 2448


⇒ x = 6120


So, the number of students is 6120
