Despite being one of the growing economies our country still has a large section of the population going hungry and malnourished. Yes, efficient crop production can help to a great extent, but it is not the only solution. We must focus on how to supply the produced food to the needy and poor people. Wastage of food should strictly be prohibited. A large amount of food produced gets rotten but does not reach the poor. We all should donate and help the ones in need. Food must be stored appropriately so that it does not get rotten. Ensuring that ration cards are used only by the poor for getting food at reasonable rates serves as a means to root out hunger.
