Q24 of 51 Page 1

If the radii of the circular ends of a conical bucket which is 45 cm high are 28 cm and 7 cm, find the capacity of the bucket.

(Use π = 22/7)

Given: Radius of Upper end = 28 cm

Radius of lower end = 7 cm

Height = 45 cm

To find: Volume of the bucket

Formula Used:

Volume of frustum =

Explanation:

Volume of frustum

= 22×49×45

= 48510 cm3

A hemispherical bowl of diameter 36 cm contains liquid. This liquid is filled into 72 cylindrical bottles of diameter 6 cm. Find the height of each bottle if 10% of liquid is wasted in this transfer.

23

A solid is in the form of a cylinder with hemispherical ends. The total height of the solid is 19 cm and the diameter of the cylinder is 7 cm. Find the volume and total surface area of the solid. (Use π = 22/7)

25

A spherical ball of radius 3 cm is melted and recast into three spherical balls. The radii of the two of the balls are 1.5 cm and 2 cm respectively. Determine the diameter of the third ball.
