The surface area of a sphere is 616 cm2. Find its radius.

Given: Surface area = 616 cm2


Formula Used: Surface area of sphere = 4πr2


Explanation:


Let the radius be “r” cm.


So,


Surface area of sphere = 4πr2


⇒ 616 = 4πr2




⇒ r2 = 49


⇒ r = 7 cm


Hence radius of sphere is 7 cm.
