Why are caste barriers breaking down in India? Explain

Reasons for the breakdown of the caste system:

1. Urbanisation: with the advent of economic development and industrialization, people tend to be more educated and started to believe in working together without discriminating others.

2. Occupational Mobility: people got engaged in a globalized work culture that demanded to move to different paces and work. This invokes d the feeling of adapting others culture and respect towards it.

3. Breaking of archaic norms: the position of landlords vanished, everyone was allowed to perform any work.

4. Nowadays people have tended to be occupied with their own works.

5. The constitution also states the philosophy against discrimination, and in some cases punishable too.
