Q11 of 50 Page 4

If points (0, 0) and (1, 1) passes through a line ax + by = c. Prove that a + b = 0

Given line: ax + by = c

At (0, 0)

a.0 + b.0 = c

c = 0

Therefore, the equation becomes,

ax + by = 0

At (1, 1)

a.1 + b.1 = 0

a + b = 0

Hence, proved.
