Right to Information gives every citizen of India to seek information from a public authority, and the public authority is bound to reply within 30 days. RTI is an act which ensures its citizens all the information about the functions of government departments. This act was enacted by the Parliament of India by replacing the Freedom to Information Act, 2002. This law was passed in the parliament on June 15, 2005, and came into force on October 12, 2005. A citizen who seeks information from the public authorities required to send, the application along with the fees payable to Accounts officer. It covers all the constitutional authorities including executive, legislature and judiciary; anybody or institution that is established or constituted by central or state legislature.
