Explain any three problems faced by Iron and Steel Industry in India. (CBSE 2011)

Three problems faced by iron and steel industry:

1. Coking coal which is essential for its production is expensive and limited in availability.

2. The power supply isn’t regular as power cuts are common.

3. Labour force is not as productive as it is in developed countries.

Explanation: India faces many infrastructural obstacles that hinder industries’ complete development. Lack of education and specialized training is a big drawback in the labour force.
