The soldiers of a nation are its greatest strength when the nation faces a crisis or a threat to their security. They shoulder the responsibility of keeping the people of the country and go to any extent to fulfill the responsibility. They remain the heroes of war but their condition after war is rarely brought to light. A war hero often suffers from trauma and stress post war. The loss of lives, the destruction during the time and the horrors of the war are something that stay with them for a longer period of time. These things keep flashing in their lives and keep disturbing them in the form of nightmares. Post war, the soldiers tend to withdraw from interacting with others, sharing war stories is painful for them and thus they refrain from talking about it. The soldier who happily signs up for the job after a war reflects that shedding blood in that manner was not something he had desired. He harbors malice against those who sent him for war, his hatred is justified as he has seen his friends die; the pain of losing a dear one continues to live on. The soldiers that survive the war should be cared for and provided strength and support to boost their morale and help them lead a normal life.
