A son is expected to grow up and assume the responsibility of the family on financial fronts whereas a daughter is expected to take care of the family and the kitchen related activities. The education of a son is considered essential as compared to daughters. A son is seen as ambitious and the one who would take forward the family legacy whereas the daughter is expected to assume all roles as a daughter, wife and mother. All wishes of a son are taken care of whereas a daughter’s wishes are taken for granted. In totality, a son is considered to be an asset for the family whereas a daughter is considered to be a liability.
