How did Rakesh's talents benefit his father?

Varmaji was quite helpless and his old age was going to be more miserable. Varmaji fell ill so frequently and with such mysterious diseases that even his son could not cure him. Even when his other sons and daughters ignored his strange illnesses, Rakesh was always with him. Rakesh took great care of his father, brought him morning tea, read him the newspaper and reminded him to take medicines. Therefore, Rakesh’s talents benefitted his father during his illness. Seeing his father’s health declining, Rakesh took certain strict steps to cut down his father’s diet.
