Shobo’s mother’s present age is six times Shobo’s present age. Shobo’s age five years from now will be one third of his mother’s present age. What are their present ages?

Let Shobo’s age is x years.

Thus, his mother’s age will be 6x years.


Now 5 Years from now, soheb's age will be one third of his mother's present age i.e. 
x + 5 =


x + 5 = 2x


x = 5

and 
6x = 6(5) = 30 

Thus, shobo’s age is 5 years and her mother’s age is 30 years.
