Q9 of 41 Page 5

The following pie chart gives the distribution of constituents in the human body. Find the central angle of the sector showing the distribution of protein and other constituents.

Protein = 16%

Other constituents = 14%

⇒ Protein and other constituents = 16% + 14%

⇒ Protein and other constituents = 30%

⇒ Central angle of sector = 108°

Hence, the central angle of the sector showing the distribution of protein and other constituents is 108°

The weekly wages (in Rs) of 30 workers in a factory are.

830, 835, 890, 810, 835, 836, 869, 845, 898, 890, 820, 860, 832, 833, 855, 845, 804, 808, 812, 840, 885, 835, 835, 836, 878, 840, 868, 890, 806, 840

Using tally marks make a frequency table with intervals as 800–810, 810–820 and so on.

11

Following figures relate to the weekly wages (in Rs.) of 15 workers in a factory :

300, 250, 200, 250, 200, 150, 350, 200, 250, 200, 150, 300, 150, 200, 250

Prepare a frequency table.

(i) What is the range in wages (in Rs)?

(ii) How many workers are getting Rs. 350?

(iii) How many workers are getting the minimum wages?
