Title: Honorable PM’s interaction on occasion of Teacher's day.
By Akshitha.
On the occasion of Teacher's day, our honorable Prime Minister broadcasted his interaction with students from all over the country live from Delhi to the rest of the nation via satellite link. It was a great learning experience as he shared much information and knowledge regarding studies, schools and teachers.
During the interactive session, the PM spoke about the role of teachers in the life of a student. He said that a teacher is like a ‘second mother’ to a student who teaches him/her to take the first steps into the world of knowledge and education. He also stressed the importance of having healthy and dynamic student-teacher relationship to ensure a positive learning experience.
In addition to this, he spoke about the need for teachers to be more understanding of the stress that students go through during exams and he suggested different ways by which teachers can help their students. Furthermore, he talked about ‘stress-relief’ by fun activities in classrooms as well.
Special arrangements were made by the school staff for students to view this telecast. The telecast was widely enjoyed by both students and teachers alike. The topic was relevant and relatable, and it was indeed, an informative session.
As a take home message, students and teachers alike had a better understanding on how to handle interactions so that both are benefitted.

Brightland Public School recently celebrated Earth day with much splendour. Many campaigns were initiated by the school to spread the message of ‘Save Earth: A Better Tomorrow’
The ‘Save Water’ campaign saw 50 volunteers demonstrating the various aspects of water conservation including rainwater harvesting, water recycling and reduction in water consumption. Various ways and tips to conserve water were shown. The tagline was ‘Every Drop Counts’.
The ‘Cut Fossil Fuels’ campaign focused on spreading awareness regarding the pollution caused by usage of fossil fuels like petrol and diesel. There was an interactive session on ‘Alternate Fuels: A Futuristic Approach’ to debate the various available fuel sources and their efficiency.
The last campaign was ‘Preserve Forest’ campaign that focused on the pitiful state of our forests. The damage to forest and wildlife due to deforestation was the topic of the speech delivered by the chief guest, Mr. Raghuram, a wildlife conservationist.
The day ended with prize distribution programme and photo session.
The campaigns helped to spread awareness about the various ways we can save our earth and the steps we can take on a daily basis to cut down the damage we do to our Mother Earth.
