Let * be a binary operation defined by a * b = 3a + 4b – 2. Find 4 * 5.

The given binary operation is a*b = 3a + 4b – 2

We have to find the value of 4*5


Applying the above relation we have


4*5 = 3(4) + 4(5) -2 = 12 + 20 – 2 = 30.


Thus the required solution is 30.
