What do you think would happen if the government withdraws from the task of supplying water?

● It is the duty of the government to provide safe and clean drinking water to all the individuals without any discrimination on any ground.

● The private Enterprises usually do not take up this task because they work with the motive to earn profit and this is a nonprofitable business.

● The capital required to provide water to the entire population of a country is a lot which the private Enterprises do not have access to.

● So if the government withdraws from the task of supplying water it would lead to an increase in the price of water because the private Enterprises would not be willing to do it at a lower cost.

● It would lead to great unrest in the country.
