Why do you think there are so few cases of private water supply in the world?

There are few cases of private water supply in the world because the private companies always work with the aim of earning a profit. This is not a profitable business. The capital required to provide water supply to the entire nation is very high which the private companies are not able to bear. Thus, the water supply is managed by the government.
