Learn about the values contained in the keertanas of Purandaradasa and Kanakadasa.

Purandardasa- he was born in a rich family in Maharashtra. He lived during 1484-1564 CE. He preached Madhava philosophy with his keerthanas. He tries to express importance of devotion of Vaishnavism but he also expressed hi anger toward false worship and philosophies. He also tries to give message of social and religious reforms in his Keerthanas.

Kanakadasa- Kanakadasa tries to remove discrimination based on caste and creed as Bhakti saint. He worked as a social reformer and tried to reform the society. He was also a poet and created great literature and wrote about social and religious reforms.
