The Great Wall of China.


Today, the Great Wall of China is around 6700 kilometres long. It was initially built by states in China who were in conflict between 8th and 7th BC, to serve as a military defence against northern enemies. Under the Chin dynasty, the walls were connected so they stretched for 5000 kilometres. It was worked on, extended and fortified by future dynasties.
