Contribution of Arabs to Science and Technology.

The Arabs excelled in scholarly pursuits, specifically under the Abbasid empire. They encouraged the spirit of enquiry and absorbed learning in the fields of medicine and mathematics via Indian scholars who visited Baghdad. Many Arab students went to Takshashila to learn specialised medicine. Arab physicians would later become known for their medical and surgical skills. Many Sanskrit texts on medicine and other subjects were translated into Arabic.
