Liberal Nationalism- This philosophy became famous in the first half of the 19^th century. Liberalism is taken from the Latin word liber means free.

• The ideology in the economic nationalism stood for the freedom of markets and the abolition of state-imposed restrictions on the movement of goods and capital.

• Napoleon’s administrative measures were a great barrier for the economy any free trade in the first half of the 19^th century.

• In 1832 Zollverein,a customs union was formed by most of the German states.

• It abolished tariff barriers and reduced the number of currencies from thirty-two to two.
