What were the main features of the national movement in India in the 20th century.

The 20th century played a major role in India Independence. Under the leadership of Gandhiji and several leaders, the nation attained independence from the British rule. The main features of the National movements in India in the period of the 20th century are as follows

Non-cooperation Movement led the biggest change in the freedom struggle by boycotting several things to oppose British rule and their credits. Based on Gandhiji’s mantra, they started the peaceful non-violent protest against the British government by boycotting the below items


• Surrender all British titles


• Renouncing honorary posts


• Withdrawing of students from government schools and colleges


• Boycott of British courts


• Boycott of civil services like army and police


• Non–payment of taxes


• Boycott of elections
