Sonalika and Kalyansona are the high yielding varieties of wheat.

Sonalika is developed from high yielding, semi dwarf, fertiliser responsive wheat variety.These dwarf wheat were highly responsive to inputs and possessed desired level of disease resistance.


It became very popular in India because of their high yield


, rust resistance, amber grain and adaptability to different soil and climatic conditions of the country.
