[MnBr4]2- is a geometrically tetrahedral coordination compound where , Mn has a +2 state ( 4 Br exerts -4 charge and the charge of whole complex is -2 hence charge of Mn =4 – 2 = +2 )


Atomic no. Of Mn is 25 hence, Mn(II) has 23 electrons hence it has 5 valence shell electrons , 3d5 valence configuration.


Hence the number of unpaired electrons in Mn(II) is 5.
