Who was called the architect of Germany’s unification?

Otto Von Bismarck was called as the architect of Germany’s unification.It was carried out with the help of the Prussian army and bureaucracy. On 18th January 1871, a group of people gathered in the Hall of mirrors in the Palace of Versailles, to proclaim the new German Empire headed by Kaiser William 1 of Prussia. The assembly comprised of the princes of the German States, representatives of the army and important Prussian ministers including the Chief Minister Otto Von Bismarck.
