A cylindrical pillars is 50 cm in diameter and 3.5 m in height. Find the cost of painting the curved surface of the pillar at the rate of 12.50 per m2.

Given,

Diameter of cylindrical pillar = 50 cm

So, radius of pillar =

Height of pillar = 3.5 m

So, curved surface area of pillar = 2πrh =

Cost of painting 1 m2 area = 12.50 rs.

∴ cost of painting 55 m2 =
