1. The Chota Nagpur Region has the maximum concentration of iron and steel industries because of the significant advantages this region offers for the development of this industry.

2. The availability of low-cost iron ore and high-grade raw materials in the nearby surrounding regions provide the industries with the necessary material.


3. Further, the availability of cheap labour along with a vast growth potential in the home market of the state helps in the smooth facilitation of trade.


NOTE – The Chota Nagpur Region covers most part of Jharkhand and some adjacent regions including Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal.
