Write a character sketch of Mrs. Van Dann.

Mr. Van Daan is what Anne calls him in her diary. Mrs. Van Daan is Mr. Van Daan’s wife. Her actual name is Auguste van Pels. But Anne calls her Petronella van Daan in her diary.She is initially a friendly, teasing woman. But later she turns into an instigator. She is a fatalist and is absolutely petty, egotistical, flirtatious, stingy, and disagreeable at times. Anna doesn’t like her habit of complaining about family problems every now and then. By her actions, she seems to be a woman who wants Anna to abide by her decisions always which Anna doesn’t do. She dies in the battle but her death has not been explained in detail.
