Solve Question:

Draw the tangents to the circle from the point L with radius 3 cm. Point ‘L’ is at a distance 8 cm from the center ‘M’.

1. Draw a circle of radius 3 cm and name the center point as M



2. Draw a line of length 8 cm from center M and name the other end as L



3. Take the radius more than half of the length ML, and draw an arc from M. Keep the same radius cut the arcs from L.



4. Join the points and name the intersecting point as O



5. Take the radius as OM or OL draw a circle. Name the intersecting point as A, B.



6. Now draw the tangents from L to A and B.
