A metallic sphere of radius 4.2 cm. is melted and recast into the shape of a cylinder of radius 6 cm. Find the height of the cylinder.

Given that, radius of sphere(r) is 4.2 cm and radius of cylinder(R) is 6 cm.

Let the height of cylinder be h.

∵ the sphere is melted and recast into cylinder

⇒ vol. of sphere = vol. of cylinder

⇒ h = 2.74 cm
