Total cost of fencing the park shown in Fig. 6.17 is Rs 55000. Find the cost of fencing per metre.

Perimeter of figure = Sum of all sides


= 150 + 100 + 120 + 180 + 270 + 280


= 1100 m


Total cost = Rs 55,000


Cost of fencing = 55,000 / 1100


= Rs 50
