Q24 of 124 Page 55

A body of mass 25 kg has a momentum of 125 kg. m/s. Calculate the velocity of the body.

Given: mass of the body, m =25 kg

Let the velocity of the body be v m/s

Momentum of the body, p =125 kg. M/s

Now, p = mv

125 = 25(v)

v = 5 m/s

Hence, the velocity of the body is 5 m/s
