Mention physical properties of sulphur.

Physical properties of sulphur:

i. It is a yellow coloured solid substance.

ii. It has two allotropes which are rhombic sulphur and monoclinic sulphur.

iii. It is insoluble in water.

iv. But it is soluble in organic solvents like carbon disulphide, toluene, ethanol etc.

v. It has low melting point.
