Nucleus

i) The nucleus is also called the "Brain" of the cells.

ii) It stores the majority of genetic material i. e. DNA in form of chromosomes.

iii) Nucleus maintains the gene expression and thus controls the functioning of the entire cell.

iv) The process of "transcription" i. e. formation of RNA occurs inside the Nucleus.

v) Nuclear membrane separate the nuclear content from cytoplasmic content thus maintains the level of gene regulation.
