Given that the altitude is twice the base so that means


Altitude = 2k


Area of a parallelogram = base × Altitude = k × 2k


Given that the area of the parallelogram = 392m2


Base × Altitude = 392


k × 2k = 392


2k2 = 392



k2 = 196


k = √196


k = 14m.


The base of the parallelogram is 14m.


The altitude of the parallelogram is 2k = = 28m.
