Rohit donated 1/5 of his monthly income to a non-government organization (NGO) working for the education of girl child, spent 1/4 of his salary on food, 1/3 on the rent and 1/15 on other expenses. He is left with Rs 9000. Find Rohit monthly salary.

Let the salary of Rohit be x


Spent on NGO = x


Spent on food = x


Spent on rent = x


Other expenses = x


Left money = Rs 9000


Therefore, we get





⇒ 51x + 540000 = 60x


⇒ 9x = 540000


⇒ x = 60000


Hence salary of Rohit is Rs 60,000
