Find the angle that is four times its complement.

Let the angle be x.


We know, the sum of two complementary angles is 90°.


⇒ Complementary angle of x = 90° – x


Given: x = 4(90° – x)


⇒ x = 360° – 4x


⇒ 5x = 360°



Thus, measure of the angle is 72°.
